Multicom Launches Pioneering Dynamic Packaging Technology

Multicom will today launch pioneering technology that will change the face of Dynamic Packaging.

The company is unveiling its new Promotion Builder and Dynamic Packing Pricing Engine systems at the Travel Technology Show in London.

Promotion Builder will allow operators and travel agents to dynamically package special deals overnight which can then be advertised online, in Teletext or in shop windows.

DPPE is a real-time dynamic packaging tool that will enable agents to instantly build holidays including accommodation, flights, transfers and car hire without the need to search numerous different suppliers individually.

The system will search more than 100 different supplier systems to find the best deals for the holiday-buyer’s specifications.

Crucially, the system also builds into the price any mark-up that the operator or agent wants to include before presenting the final results to the consumer, all in real time.

Both systems will simplify the often time consuming DP process for both travel companies, agents and customers.

David Osborne, sales manager at Multicom, said: “This is yet another technology advance from Multicom that will change the way that holidays are dynamically packaged.

Our FindandBook system already gives customers access to hundreds of suppliers via a single XML feed, but both Promotion Builder and DPPE will enable them to build packages through a single search.

Promotion Builder will provide Multicom’s customers with the ability to build their own package deals and special offers, to any specification and including their own mark up, margins and discounts, overnight.

The system has been successfully piloted by Thomas Cook and a number of other customers and we are now making it available to the wider travel community.”

David added: “DPPE is another fantastic new tool which takes a complicated, time-consuming job and performs it quickly and automatically itself.

Instead of having to manually search numerous different suppliers’ systems, our customers can now build complex dynamically packaged holidays through one, easy and efficient search.”

Multicom is the company behind the FindandBook system which takes bookable products from hundreds of airlines, accommodation and extras providers, including Eurostar, Thomas Cook, Low Cost Beds and XL.com.
