Multicom Recruit Andy Tidy to Non-Executive Role

Software solutions specialist Multicom has appointed Andy Tidy as a non-executive Director of the company with immediate effect.

Tidy, former Thomas Cook e-commerce Director, founder of Flexibletrips and the man responsible for implementing thomascook.com’s groundbreaking new Starfish e-commerce platform, brings a vast wealth of experience of the travel sector to the Bristol-based firm and will work alongside Managing Director John Howell in an advisory capacity.

Tidy will support Multicom’s planned growth and expansion of the business through the roll out of new innovative technology solutions currently in development and due for release.

Multicom Managing Director John Howell said: "Andy brings an enormous amount of business and e-commerce experience to compliment the skills of our core team, and we are delighted Andy has accepted our offer to join the board in a non-executive role.

“Andy joins us at an exciting time for Multicom with a range of new products and solutions soon to be brought to the market; his support and advice in both their development and roll out will be invaluable to us.”

Tidy said: "I have worked with Multicom in the past and have always been impressed by their technology, their honesty and also their attention to customer service - a philosophy I have always subscribed to in business, and one that is sadly lacking in some technology companies. I am very much looking forward to joining Multicom at such an exciting time for the company and the industry.

“In such a fast moving and ever changing market place technology businesses cannot afford to stand still and need to be constantly abreast of rapidly emerging new developments.

"Multicom's commitment to that agenda combined with its reputation made it an easy decision to accept their offer."

Tidy's first task will be to support Multicom's presence at the forthcoming Travel Technology Show in Earl's Court (Feb 10/11) next week.
